Degree complement

Use 得 after a verb to describe how an action is performed, such as its degree or result. Learners often forget to include 得 when they want to add a descriptive word, so make sure the particle is present.

the complement describes the manner or result, often an adjective

  • 你做不错。
    Nǐ zuò de bùcuò .
    You're doing a great job.
  • 孩子们学挺快的。
    Háizi men xué de tǐng kuài de .
