Definition
驳回 means to formally reject or overrule (an appeal, application, proposal) in official/legal contexts — not everyday refusal. It is more formal than 拒绝, and unlike 否决 (veto through voting), 驳回 is a unilateral dismissal. It also contrasts with 反驳, which is a verbal refutation, not a formal action.
