Definition
题名 is a noun that can refer to either the title of a written work (article, book, etc.) or a person's autograph (handwritten signature, especially of a notable figure). Although the dictionary lists verb-like meanings such as 'name a work' or 'entitle', this entry covers only the noun senses — the verb uses belong to a different POS category. Be careful not to confuse 题名 (tí míng, 'title / autograph') with 提名 (tí míng, 'to nominate'), which has a different second character and meaning.
