Definition
预习 (yù xí) means to preview or prepare for a class before it happens, typically by reading the material in advance. It is the opposite of 复习 (fù xí), which is to review after class. Unlike 自习 (zì xí), which is independent self-study, 预习 is always tied to upcoming lesson content.
