Definition
非专业 means 'non-professional' or 'amateur', used to describe people, teams, or work that does not meet professional standards or is not done as a profession. It is more formal than 业余 (yèyú, 'amateur in spare time') and often appears in contrast to 专业 (zhuānyè, 'professional'). You can use it as an adjective before a noun (非专业人士) or with 的 (非专业的水平).
