Definition
霸道 describes someone who is overbearing and domineering, often forcing their will on others. Compared to 狂 (wild, unrestrained) and the more formal idiom 盛气凌人 (acting arrogantly), 霸道 is the most direct everyday word for a bossy, oppressive personality. It also has a second sense meaning 'strong, potent' for liquor or medicine.
