阿姨 (ā yí) is a polite, friendly term for a woman of your parents' generation, used both as a respectful address (like 'Auntie') and as a job title for a nanny or housekeeper. It is broader than 姨 (maternal aunt or close family friend) and less specific to elderly women than 大妈. As an occupation, it is more personal and family-oriented than the professional job title 保姆.
