Definition
阡 is a bound form (b.f.) that only appears in the compound 阡陌 (qiānmò), which refers to the crisscrossing paths between fields. In classical Chinese, 阡 specifically denotes a north-south path, while 陌 is an east-west path. You won't use 阡 alone in modern Mandarin; it's a literary or historical term.
