队 (duì) refers to an organized team or group, like a sports team, work squad, or military unit. It differs from 班 (bān), which is for school classes or work shifts, and 组 (zǔ), which is for smaller task groups. As a classifier, 队 counts people or vehicles in formation, while 班 counts scheduled transport and 组 counts sets or series.
