Definition
镇静 (zhènjìng) emphasizes a deliberate, controlled calmness — often used when someone actively steadies their nerves in a stressful situation. It is more about 'composure' than 冷静 (lěngjìng), which can also describe a quiet place or a person's rational coolness. 镇定 (zhèndìng) is very similar but leans slightly more toward 'unflappable' in the face of danger.
