Definition
销售 (xiāoshòu) is the standard, neutral verb for 'to sell' products or services in business contexts. It is more general than 出售 (chūshòu, formal/transactional) and lacks the active promotion sense of 推销 (tuīxiāo, to market/push). Unlike 出卖 (chūmài, to betray) or 贩卖 (fànmài, to traffic), 销售 carries no negative connotation.
