Definition
钻进 is a resultative verb: 钻 ('to drill, to squeeze') plus 进 ('into'). It describes physically squeezing into a narrow space, or metaphorically immersing yourself deeply in an activity (studies, work, a project). Use it with a location or field as the object: 钻进房间, 钻进书本.
