Definition
郁闷 (yù mèn) describes the gloomy, frustrated feeling of being stuck in an unpleasant situation you can't change — like being stuck indoors on a rainy day. It's less severe than 抑郁/忧郁 (yì yù / yōu yù), which refer to clinical depression or deep melancholy, and more about irritation than the helplessness of 无奈 (wú nài).
