Definition
邯郸学步 is a classical Chinese idiom from the Zhuangzi. It describes someone who slavishly imitates others and, in the process, not only fails to learn the new skill but also loses their own original ability. Use it to criticize blind copying without understanding the essence of what is being imitated.
