Definition
邪道 refers to a morally wrong or corrupt path, often associated with depravity or misconduct (e.g., 走上邪道 'to go astray'). It also carries the sense of heterodoxy — beliefs or doctrines that deviate from an accepted mainstream, especially in religion or ideology (e.g., 邪道学说 'heretical teachings'). In both uses it contrasts with 正道 ('the right path') and is strongly negative.
