逸 (yì) is a literary bound morpheme (bound form, pos=g) that appears in classical-style compounds. Its meanings span several domains: 'leisurely and comfortable' (安逸 ānyì), 'to flee' (逃逸 táoyì), 'lost or missing' (逸事 yìshì 'anecdote', lit. 'lost affair'), and 'outstanding' (逸群 yìqún 'surpass the crowd'). It is also a variant of 佚 (yì) meaning 'lost'. As a bound form, 逸 always attaches to another character and does not stand alone in modern Chinese.
