Definition
逆向 describes something that goes against the usual or expected direction — often used for movement (逆向行驶 'driving against traffic'), thought (逆向思维 'reverse thinking'), or engineering (逆向工程 'reverse engineering'). It is different from 相反 (opposite in abstract sense) and 反向 (opposite direction, less technical).
