Definition
过不去 (guò bu qù) literally means 'cannot get through', but is most often used figuratively to mean 'to make things difficult for someone' (often with 跟/和) or 'to feel uneasy/embarrassed'. Compared to 为难 (wéi nán), 过不去 is more colloquial and implies deliberate obstruction; 恶心 (ě xin) is stronger, meaning to disgust or embarrass on purpose.
