Definition
迄今 (qì jīn) is a formal, literary verb meaning 'so far, up to now, to date'. It is more written and less common in speech than the adverb 至今 (zhì jīn). Positioned before the main verb or after the subject, unlike the phrase 到目前为止 or 到…为止 which mark a cutoff with 为止.
