Definition
迁居 is a formal, written verb meaning 'to move to a new residence' — more literary than everyday 搬家 (bānjiā). It's a separable verb (离合词): 迁 does the verb part and 居 takes measure words or modifiers between them, e.g. 迁了一次居 ('moved once'). The object (the old or new place) usually appears before the whole word with 从/到, not after it.
