Definition
辉 is a bound form (b.f.) — it cannot stand alone as a word. It contributes the meaning of 'brightness, splendor, or shine' to compound words, most commonly 光辉 (guānghuī, 'glory, radiance'), 辉煌 (huīhuáng, 'splendid, brilliant'), and 辉映 (huīyìng, 'to shine, to reflect'). You always need to attach it to another morpheme to form a complete word.
