Definition
载货 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to carry (or transport) cargo/freight'. The noun 货 ('cargo') separates from the verb 载 when you want to add measure words, durations, or other modifiers between them — for example, 载了一次货 ('carried cargo once'), 载了三天货 ('carried cargo for three days'). You can also attach a vehicle or method before it: 用卡车载货 ('use a truck to carry cargo').
