Definition
载人 is an attributive adjective meaning 'manned' or 'crewed', used exclusively before nouns to describe vehicles, missions, or systems that carry people — 载人飞船 (manned spacecraft), 载人航天 (manned spaceflight). It is the opposite of 无人 (unmanned). Unlike English 'manned', 载人 is not used as a standalone verb or predicate; you cannot say *这艘飞船载人 — instead use 载人 as a modifier or use the verb 载 (zài) separately.
