Definition
轼 is a bound form (b.f.) referring to the handrail at the front of an ancient Chinese carriage or chariot. It appears almost exclusively in classical texts and literary compounds such as 凭轼 ('to lean on the handrail'). In modern Chinese it is rarely used outside of historical or scholarly contexts.
