Definition
踢腿 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to kick' or 'to perform a kick', especially in dance or martial arts. It is composed of 踢 (to kick) and 腿 (leg). When you add aspect markers (了, 过) or measure words (一次, 一下), they go between the two characters: 踢了一次腿, 踢过腿. Note that 踢腿 refers to the leg movement itself, not kicking an object — for that, use 踢球 or 踢人.
