Definition
足足 is the reduplicated form of 足, used as an adverb before quantities to stress that the amount is large and exactly that number or duration, often expressing surprise. It follows the pattern: 足足 + (verb/) + number + measure word. For example, 足足用了十年的时间 means 'it took fully ten years'. It cannot be used to mean 'extremely' with adjectives.
