Definition
起见在现代汉语中几乎不单独作名词使用，而是固定出现在“为/为了……起见”的句式中，表示“出于某个目的、为了某种考虑”。例如“为安全起见”就是“为了安全的目的”。你必须在“起见”前面加上“为/为了”和一个名词或短语，不能直接说“起见某事”。这个结构常用于说明做某事的理由或动机。
