Definition
负心 means to betray one's love or be unfaithful in a romantic relationship. It is a separable verb (离合词): the syllables 负 and 心 can be split, as in 从没负过心 ('never been unfaithful'). It often appears in the phrase 负心人 ('a heartless person') to describe someone who abandons their partner.
