Definition
谦逊 (qiān xùn) describes a genuine, unpretentious humility — it is a formal, positive trait often used in praise (e.g., a humble scholar). It is similar to 谦虚 (qiān xū) but more formal and less about self-effacing remarks; 虚心 (xū xīn) specifically means being open-minded to learn. Unlike 低下 (dīxià) or 卑微 (bēiwēi), 谦逊 has no negative connotation of low status.
