调任 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to be transferred to another position', typically used for official personnel reassignments. The verb 调 can separate from 任 to insert a measure word, duration, or complement — for example, 调过一次任 ('have been transferred once'). The person being transferred is usually introduced with 把 or as the subject, and the destination is introduced with 到.
