Definition
解剖 (jiě pōu) means 'to dissect' — literally cutting open a body, or figuratively analyzing something in great depth. It is more concrete and thorough than 分析 (fēn xī, general analysis) or 解析 (jiě xī, formal/mathematical analysis), and unlike 揣摩 (chuǎi mó, which is about pondering), 解剖 implies a systematic, almost surgical breakdown.
