Definition
装 (zhuāng) is a common verb with several distinct meanings: to install or fix equipment, to pretend, or to pack/load. For the 'pretend' sense, it is more colloquial than the formal 假装 (jiǎ zhuāng). When meaning 'pack', it is broader than 包装 (bāo zhuāng), which specifically refers to wrapping or packaging. Note: despite the character's link to clothing, 装 alone does NOT mean 'to dress up'—use 打扮 or 装扮 for that.
