Definition
裁决 (cáijué) means 'to adjudicate, to rule' and is used broadly for official decisions in courts, arbitration, or competitions. It is more general than 判决 (pànjué, court sentencing) and 裁判 (cáipàn, sports refereeing), and overlaps with 裁定 (cáidìng, formal ruling) and 仲裁 (zhòngcái, arbitration) but is not limited to those contexts.
