Definition
虚 (xū) can mean 'empty' (space), 'false', or 'weak in health'. For physical vacancy, use 空 (kòng); for free time, 闲 (xián). For 'false', 虚 suggests hollowness, while 假 (jiǎ) is the general word for fake. The 'weak' sense is unique to 虚.
