薪酬 (xīn chóu) is a formal, written term for total compensation (salary + bonuses + benefits), used in HR and business contexts. It is broader than 工资 (gōng zī 'basic wage/salary') and more formal than 薪水 (xīn shui 'salary, everyday term'). 报酬 (bào chou) is similar but emphasizes payment for a specific service or task.
