Definition
蔫 (niān) is a colloquial verb used for plants that have lost their freshness, meaning 'to wither' or 'to droop'. It can also describe a person who is listless or lacking energy, often used with 很 (hěn) as a stative verb. It is more informal than 枯萎 (kūwěi) for plants.
