Definition
董事长 (dǒng shì zhǎng) is the chairman of the board of directors, the highest governance role in a company. Unlike 总裁 (zǒng cái), who is the CEO running daily operations, 董事长 leads the board that oversees the company. 主席 (zhǔ xí) is a more general term for chairperson of any committee or organization.
