Definition
萦绕 is a verb that describes something — often a thought, memory, sound, or feeling — continuing to stay around in your mind or surroundings, as if it is gently circling you. It can also be used for physical things like mist or smoke that wind around something. Unlike English 'linger' or 'hover', 萦绕 carries a poetic or slightly literary tone and is frequently used with 在心头/脑海/耳边.
