Definition
舒展 (shūzhǎn) means to stretch or unfold gently to become relaxed and comfortable—used for the body (e.g., stretching arms) or for easing a tense mood. Unlike 伸 (shēn, simply 'extend' a limb), 舒展 implies a relieving, pleasant effect; unlike 展开 (zhǎn kāi, 'spread out' an object or launch an activity), 舒展 is personal and emotional, and also works as an adjective for a relaxed state.
