Definition
舍不得 (shě bu de) means to be reluctant to part with something or to do something, often due to emotional attachment or unwillingness to spend. It is the opposite of 舍得 (shě de 'willing to part with'). Compared to 心疼 (xīn téng), which focuses on feeling sorry for someone or grudging money/things, 舍不得 emphasizes the emotional difficulty of letting go.
