Definition
致病 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to cause illness' or 'to lead to disease'. It is commonly used in formal or medical contexts, and the verb 致 and noun 病 can be separated by aspect markers like 了 or 过 (e.g. 致了病, 致过病).
