Definition
自在 (zì zai) describes a deep inner feeling of ease and relaxation, often from being content with one's situation or free from worry. It is more about mental comfort than physical comfort (舒服 shū fu), and less about freedom from rules (自由 zì yóu) than about being at peace with oneself.
