Definition
脱 (tuō) is the general verb for taking off clothing, shoes, or accessories — the opposite of 穿 (chuān 'to put on'). It also means to shed (skin, feathers) for animals, and to escape or get away from a situation. For getting away from a task or obligation, the more specific word is 脱身 (tuō shēn).
