Definition
股 (gǔ) is a classifier used for three categories: (1) long, winding things like ropes, rivers, or strands; (2) smoke, smells, or puffs (a whiff or thread); (3) groups of people or sudden actions (a band, a gust). Each sense pairs with specific nouns and is not interchangeable with other classifiers.
