Definition
老远 is an informal adverb/adjective phrase meaning 'very far away' or 'a long way off'. It often appears with 就 to emphasize that something is noticeable or happens from a great distance (e.g. 老远就看见了 'saw it from far away'). It can also be used as a predicate (e.g. 路老远 'the road is very far').
