Definition
老好人 describes a person who goes out of their way to avoid conflict and please everyone, often at the cost of their own principles. While it can sound neutral or even positive in some contexts, it usually carries a mildly critical tone — suggesting the person is weak, indecisive, or too agreeable (a 'pushover' or 'yes-person'). Be careful not to use it as a simple compliment; it usually implies a lack of backbone.
