Definition
置之脑后 is a four-character idiom (chengyu) meaning to completely forget or ignore something, as if putting it behind one's brain. It is used when someone deliberately or carelessly dismisses a matter from memory. The literal image is 'place it behind the brain' — i.e., out of sight and out of mind.
