Definition
罗罗 (luō luō) is a reduplicated form with two distinct uses. Historically it was a name for the Yi (彝) ethnic minority in southwest China, but is now considered pejorative and replaced by 彝族. In literary Chinese it can also mean 'scattered' or 'dispersed', often used reduplicatively as an adjective or adverb. Use it only with awareness of the ethnic slur connotation — the 'scattered' meaning is rare and classical.
