Definition
经手 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to handle a matter personally' — usually in a work or administrative context. The verb 经 and the noun 手 can be separated with a measure word, 了, or 过 between them: e.g., 经了一次手 ('handled once'). You can also say 经手过 something. The person who handles the task is often followed by 的: 这是他经手的事 ('this is a matter he handled').
