Definition
纵观 means 'to take a broad, comprehensive view' — it's used for surveying a large topic, period, or trend (e.g. history, the world). Unlike 俯视, which means 'to look down at from above' (a physical or metaphorical vantage point), 纵观 focuses on scope and synthesis, not height or perspective.
